This painting turned out so lovely.  It just flew out of me in such a short time it amazed me. It is a welcoming piece so I named it "Home Again". This painting  will also be going to the show in a couple of days. The companion painting is below.

I painted this the same day but I struggled a little more with this one.  I think it turned out well though. I can't get enough of pastels. I also love the format and I think I will try doing more.

Brought out my pastels today. It has been a long time but I managed to paint four small paintings today. There is something about the earthiness of pastel that lends itself to landscapes. I love to use them to paint rural areas and especially marshes and small creeks. Can be purchased on my Etsy

One of my newest oil paintings. This is similar to the farm land that lies below my house. Many times in the winter the sky's are gray but still the valley is beautiful. Here again are the whites that I love to paint.

I love the sunny winter days in Northwestern Montana. It seems like they are few in number but when the sun shines it is absolutely glorious. This painting has a little more detail than some of the other miniatures I have done. I think it captures the moment.

"Montana Landscape"

A Montana landscape painted in the impressionist style. This painting is on a 4x4 canvas and framed with a rose gold frame. I have done a series of these small paintings but this one is my favorite so far. I seem to like very big or very small. At any rate I am having a great time.
