Delicate poppies

About this painting:

This was painted quite awhile ago. It is still one of my favorites. Poppies are a flower I enjoy painting over and over again. This was painted with fresh colors on hot pressed paper and mounted on a 2" deep box which I painted with an espresso color of paint. The original is owned by my brother and his wife. I do have small prints and greeting cards of this painting.

I hope you enjoy it.

Glacier Park Veiw

about this painting:

This painting is typical of the views you see in Glacier National Park in the spring time. This is only 1/2 an hour from my home plus a long drive up a very narrow Going to the Sun Road. It is well worth the drive unless you are afraid of heights. I painted this with a palette knife to get the texture that I wanted. I hope you enjoy it.

Tulip Jubilee

about this painting:

I love my garden in the spring time. I wait all winter long for the tulips to bloom. Unfortunately we have very long winters here in Montana. This painting started as a demonstration for one of the watercolor classes I teach. It seems that I have a lot of unfinished paintings that are demos but this one I finished.

Forever Friends

about this painting:

I love to paint people, I also like to watch people. When I was in Bath England I spotted these old ladies. I followed them around for a while until they sat down. I couldn't resist taking their photo. This one of two paintings using these ladies.

Montana Huckleberries

About this painting:

Huckleberries
are plentiful during August in Northwest Montana. Every Summer the locals go to the mountains and risk an encounter with bears. It is worth it if you have ever experienced huckleberry pie. This painting represents the berries at the peek of the season. Later on the leaves turn into beautiful fall colors.
